American Gods: Season 2, Episode 2 Recap and Review

Guys, what else can I say?

Life, ya know?

Sometimes it just gets…

Well, lifey.

Yanno?

It’s that time of year where it’s definitely not winter.

But not really spring or summer, either.

Is rain a season?

In other words, the month of March.

It’s 792 days long, after all.

But wouldn’t it be nice if we had something to look forward to, on a weekly basis?

Say, on Sundays?

Well, we actually do now…

Thank God!

(Insert Old God or New God here, along with a side of Jinn and Leprechaun.)

American Gods has returned to us, finally.

So now the month of March is shortened to 790 days.

Hey, I will take those two days wherever I can get them.

And for the second episode, I *only* had to wait a week to get my fix…

I mean, a week can be long…

(Especially in the month of March, where they have approximately 3.841 days a piece, but I digress.)

But luckily, the band (as in an asshole dead wife, leprecunt, a lovelorn cab driver, a wisecracking Trickster god, along with a few other er colorful characters) is back together, to provide us some relief from lifey-ness that is the month of March.

So join, as I review and dissect the second episode of the second season of American Gods, titled The Beguiling Man.

And, as always:

Oh My God!

Two years, guys!

Two fucking years!

For two years, I have been without my man, Shadow Moon.

For two years, I have been missing my Leprecunt!

For two years, I have had do without that lecherous Mr. Wednesday.

For two years I have missed seeing the asshole dead wife kick some ass!

Well, thank God for this weekend, though.

Because I had a reunion with the friends mentioned above.

God knows, it had been too long since I got to hang out with these guys, right?

In other words, this weekend saw the long awaited return of the second season of the show, American Gods.

And my God, it was worth it!

(Yeah, I know.  But it’s been two years, God knows I can’t help myself here!)

So, was it worth the wait?  And all the drama?

Well, if the first episode of the second season is any indication…

The answer is God yes!

Castle Rock: Season 1, Episode 10 Recap and Review

Life can be a bit ambiguous sometimes.

What color is that dress, really?

The only sure thing is that it’s ugly!

And no, I know what Donald, Mickey and Pluto are, but I still don’t know what the hell Goofy is!

So, in order to deal with the ambiguity that is life, sometimes you just need to kick back…

And remind yourself of something:

M-O-O-N, that spells schisma!

In other words, go watch Castle Rock!

No ambiguity there!

Oh, and Pennywise is just your friendly neighborhood clown.  He’s just a lonely guy, and he just wants to have the neighborhood kids for dinner

Oh, right.

Back to reality this instant!

You know, the reality where having kids for dinner is actually literal?

And the reality (or maybe realities in this case) where Castle Rock is confusing as fuck and makes you question everything that you thought you knew, at least according to the last episode.

In other words, let’s review and dissect the season 1 finale of Castle Rock, titled Romans.

Castle Rock: Season 1, Episode 9 Recap and Review

Life can be so confusing sometimes.

You might think you have things figured out, but then you just get thrown for a (time) loop.

So, sometimes you just need to kick back (in your cage,)

Grab something tasty (your Wonder Bread) and…

Tell yourself, oh hey, what the schisma

And go watch Castle Rock!

So yeah, episode 9.  Henry Deaver.

No, not this guy.

Or this one.

That was the title to the episode.

And if you thought that the ride was wild in the previous eight episodes, well buckle up, my friend.

Because the show completely took its foot off the break with this second to last episode.

And the writers now have just jammed that accelerator, so that we can hurry to our destination, whatever that may be.

So, without any further ado, here is is my recap and review of the ninth episode of Castle Rock, titled Henry Deaver.

Castle Rock: Season 1, Episode 8 Recap and Review

Lately, I have been thinking that I need a vacation.

Things have just been a little stressful the past few days.

Work is crazy, I have not been sleeping too well.

I mean, I keep hearing this odd noise…

And I keep becoming unstuck in time, for whatever reason.

Maybe I should book myself a weekend at bed and breakfast.

Yeah, that’s the ticket!

A bed and breakfast with a theme would be even better, right?

And boy, those owners of the bed and breakfast seem so nice!

Maybe a murder house of sorts…

Or, I can just watch the show Castle Rock, and experience that bed and breakfast place for free!

Yes, I am talking about episode 8 of the artistry known as Castle Rock.

Last night’s journey was an interesting excursion, to say the least.

There actually was not a lot of that nuisance otherwise known as getting unstuck in time, but there was quite a bit of that nuisance otherwise known as murder by extremely violent, somewhat creative ways.

So join me in this week’s recap and review of episode 8, titled Past Perfect.

Castle Rock: Season 1, Episode 7 Recap and Review

Well, then.

This was quite the week.

Filled with a bit of confusion.

Lots of drama.

Kept us glued to our screens.

The entertainment was non-stop.

Of course, I am talking about this week’s episode of Castle Rock, titled The Queen.

Geez, did you think I was talking about some horror story or something?

Each week, Castle Rock keeps on setting the bar higher and higher.

And we got this episode.

Honestly, if this is the peak for the show and the rest of the episodes are just really, really good as opposed to the make you wanna slap your mama bad ass that is this week’s episode, I won’t complain.

But, I find myself getting blown away every week.  Somehow, I don’t think that is going to change.

So, buckle in and join me in the recap and review of this week’s wild ride, titled The Queen.

And, as always:
