I make my sweaty way through my days lately.
Life as a Not Floridian can be tough, sometimes.
But my Monday nights are offering a cool oasis from the oppressive Not Floridian heat…
In fact, I feel that Christmas has come…
Well, Christmasland, right?
We are on episode 4, so we are nearly halfway through the season.
And things are continuing to heat up (or maybe freeze up, if you like that better.)
This episode gave of some more background information on an important character, while continue to move the chains, in much the same way as the offense of your favorite football field moves down the field, marching ever closer to the end zone.
And while we don’t have a touchdown yet, I think we are getting closer to the red (or maybe blue) zone.
So, without further ado, here is my recap and review of episode 4 of N0S4A2, titled The House of Sleep.
And, as always:
So, the month of June has come upon us.
As in, it’s summer time…
You know, when the temperatures rise and the sunscreen doesn’t matter?
Of course, I live in an unnamed state in the southern United States.
All I can tell you is that it’s not Florida.
And living in Not Florida during the summertime is just Not Cool.
As in, it’s hot.
Seriously, my face melted off the other day.
Anyone have any hints for cleaning melted face off the floor? Windex doesn’t seem to be working very well…
So, since it is so hot in Not Florida right now, I am doing what any red blooded (as in even my blood is sweating) Not Floridian would do…
Finding the nearest air conditioned living room and making camp in there until…
Oh, October or so…
So, to keep my self entertained during this sweltering Not Florida summer, I am spending some quality time with my television set.
You, just watching some Christmas stuff, right?
Yes, you heard that right!
I am watching some Christmas stuff here in Not Florida, while trying to mop my face off the floor!
In other words, we are talking about the premiere of the show N0S4A2, a television show based on the novel of the same name.
It goes without saying that the source material is a novel written by Joe Hill, who has been deemed the Prince of Horror.
You know, since dear old dad is The King, after all?
I am huge fan of the source material, and just a fan of The Prince in general.
(His number one fan, heehee.)
So, I watched the series premiere of N0S4A2 this week.
And I must say, I see potential here…
Lots of potential, in all its icy, snowy, Christmas-y potential glory…
And I am excited…
Christmas is only supposed to come once a year, right?
So, without further ado, let’s get down to our review and synopsis of episode 1 of season 1 of N0S4A2, titled The Shorter Way.
And, as always:
My breakdown of the 1990 It miniseries, on my YouTube channel. Again, subscribe, pretty please?
My first official episode on my YouTube channel, where I am joined by a special guest host, and I talk about my origin story as a King fan and horror fan, and I discuss the book It! Link is below, please subscribe to me:
(Or a journal entry, if you prefer. You know, back in the prehistoric days where we *gasp* used pencil and paper to write.)
In fact, you could argue that perhaps she has visited this particular world a few too many times, and is a little obsessed, as she has written a series of entries detailing her adventures.
So, let us take a peek into this world. Oh, and as always:
Life can be a bit ambiguous sometimes.
What color is that dress, really?
The only sure thing is that it’s ugly!
So, in order to deal with the ambiguity that is life, sometimes you just need to kick back…
And remind yourself of something:
M-O-O-N, that spells schisma!
In other words, go watch Castle Rock!
No ambiguity there!
Back to reality this instant!
You know, the reality where having kids for dinner is actually literal?
And the reality (or maybe realities in this case) where Castle Rock is confusing as fuck and makes you question everything that you thought you knew, at least according to the last episode.
In other words, let’s review and dissect the season 1 finale of Castle Rock, titled Romans.
And, as always:
Lately, I have been thinking that I need a vacation.
Things have just been a little stressful the past few days.
Work is crazy, I have not been sleeping too well.
I mean, I keep hearing this odd noise…
And I keep becoming unstuck in time, for whatever reason.
Maybe I should book myself a weekend at bed and breakfast.
Yeah, that’s the ticket!
A bed and breakfast with a theme would be even better, right?
And boy, those owners of the bed and breakfast seem so nice!
Maybe a murder house of sorts…
Or, I can just watch the show Castle Rock, and experience that bed and breakfast place for free!
Yes, I am talking about episode 8 of the artistry known as Castle Rock.
Last night’s journey was an interesting excursion, to say the least.
There actually was not a lot of that nuisance otherwise known as getting unstuck in time, but there was quite a bit of that nuisance otherwise known as murder by extremely violent, somewhat creative ways.
So join me in this week’s recap and review of episode 8, titled Past Perfect.
This was quite the week.
Filled with a bit of confusion.
Lots of drama.
Kept us glued to our screens.
The entertainment was non-stop.
Geez, did you think I was talking about some horror story or something?
Each week, Castle Rock keeps on setting the bar higher and higher.
And we got this episode.
Honestly, if this is the peak for the show and the rest of the episodes are just really, really good as opposed to the make you wanna slap your mama bad ass that is this week’s episode, I won’t complain.
But, I find myself getting blown away every week. Somehow, I don’t think that is going to change.
So, buckle in and join me in the recap and review of this week’s wild ride, titled The Queen.
And, as always:
My name is Leah and I have a confession to make.
Totally hooked on the Hulu show Castle Rock!
There, I feel better. I hope you guys don’t judge me!
So yeah, I have a problem. And I love it!
I spend my free time (well time when I am supposed to be working, since real life is a non-stop horror movie) waiting for the next episode to be released.
I browse Reddit to read the latest, craziest fan theories.
I come up with my own crazy fan theories.
(A connection to the Crimson King is not a crazy theory. It. Is. Not,)
And oh yeah, writing about the show, for your reading pleasure!
So join my in my recap and review of this week’s episode, titled Harvest.
And, per usual:
